Prof Kenig together with Alexander Zibart, Christian Wecker, René Bertling and our former group member Sebastian Rieks participated in the annual meeting of the ProcessNet groups Wärme- und Stoffübertragung (heat and mass transfer) and Computational Fluid Dynamics. The meeting took place on March 6th to 7th 2018 in the Maritim Hotel in Bremen. Sebastian Rieks and Alexander Zibart contributed to the field of heat and mass transfer. In this context, Sebastian Rieks held an oral presentation titled “Numerical simulation of gravity distillation with metal foams” and Alexander Zibart presented a poster on “Numerical investigation on gravity driven film flow on the wavy surface of pillow plate heat exchangers”. Christian Wecker and René Bertling presented posters within the CFD-part of the conference. The poster by Christian Wecker was dedicated to the subject “Numerical investigation on species transfer and fluid mechanics during droplet formation” while René Bertling showed a poster on “Investigation of heat and mass transport in a solar dryer for mais drying by CFD methods”.
