Annual meeting of the DECHEMA groups Fluid Process Engineering and Adsorption

The joint annual meeting of DECHEMA groups Fluid Process Engineering and Adsorption took place from 21 - 23 March at DECHEMA House in Frankfurt am Main. In addition to Professor Kenig, Dr Nicole Lutters, Alejandra Mapura, Christopher Dechert, Thomas Ehlert and Patrick Franke also took part. In three lectures and on three posters, we presented the current research work in the field of fluid process engineering at Paderborn University.

Lectures:

Christopher Dechert: „Investigation of the effect of different microstructures on fluid spreading on inclined plates“

Thomas Ehlert: „Modeling of the wall gap in structural packing columns using the hydrodynamic analogies approach“

Alejandra Mapura: „On the calculation of liquid-side mass transfer coefficients for structured packings“

Poster:

Thomas Ehlert: „Characterization of the influence of inclination-induced flow morphology using the hydrodynamic analogies approach“

Patrick Franke: „Modeling axial dispersion in structured and sandwich packings“

Nicole Lutters (representative for Iman Hami Dindar): „Aqueous glucosamine solution as a new solvent for CO₂ capture“
