Last week, the chair visited the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. At the Departamento de Engenharia Química (Department of Chemical Engineering), we were welcomed by Prof. Maria Matilde Soares Duarte Marques, who presented the extensive research activities of the department. This was followed by two lectures held by Portuguese phd students and a tour through the laboratories and pilot plants of the department. After a joint lunch break, Prof. Kenig gave a detailed presentation of the work of the Chair of Fluid Process Engineering.
The visit was completed by by joint activities such as a tour of Lisbon and an excursion to the Palácio Nacional da Pena in Sintra.
