With deep sadness, we learned of the death of our colleague Franz Kapla. He passed away on November 6th, 2019, after a long and serious illness. Franz Kapla started working as a technician at Paderborn University in 1987, and over time, he became an expert in the field of Fluid Process Engineering. His activities ranged from supporting PhD students in the conception and design of experimental plants to the conducting of individual projects. He was highly esteemed for both his professional competence and personality. For our group, his death leaves behind an unfilled void and put us in deep grief. We will keep him in good memory and are in thoughts with his family.
