Alexander Olenberg represented our Chair at the "27th European Symposium on Computer-Aided Process Engineering (ESCAPE-27)" in Barcelona with his talk titled "Numerical Simulation of Two-Phase Flow in Representative Elements of Structured Packings". This conference was held parallel to the “10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering (WCCE-10)”, the “11th European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE-11)”, the “4th European Congress of Applied…
At the end of september, our group traveled to Vienna to visit the Institute of Chemical, Environmental & Biological Engineering at Vienna University of Technology under the direction of Prof. Friedl. We exchanged about our research topics and discussed possible future cooperations. We thank our hosts for the warm welcome and the interesting talks.
The visit was complemented by a touristic framework, e.g. the visit of the Museum of Arts and a…
Since September, a new research assistant has joined our team. Anjam Byze studied at Salahaddin University in Erbil and University of Nottingham, where he graduated in 2012 with the master thesis "CFD modelling of a simplified aeroengine scavenge system and comparison to existing experimental data". We welcome Anjam and wish him a successful start in Paderborn!
Prof. Kenig participated in the 20th Conference on Process Integration, Modelling and Optimisation for Energy Saving and Pollution Reduction (PRES’17) from August 21st to August 24th 2017 in Tianjin. This conference takes places every year and deals with various aspects of sustainable energy supply. Prof. Kenig, who is a member of the International Scientific Committee of PRES’17, held a presentation on „Optimisation of Fluid Process Engineering…
