Based on experimental tests, the thermal efficiency, the rate of condensation, the pressure loss and the heat transfer coefficient of the air-side heat exchangers are determined. The results are used to derive correlations for design and optimization of heat exchangers. The plant is universally designed so that different types and sizes of heat exchangers can be investigated.
