FTMV Trainee Day

At this year's Intern Day on Wednesday, 15 May 2019, heads of internship offices and faculty representatives from the member faculties of the Faculty Association for Mechanical and Process Engineering (FTMV) met. The chairman of the FTMV, Prof. Moritzer, invited the responsible officials to Paderborn. In addition to various topics, such as cases of plagiarism in internship reports, this year's agenda included a discussion on the topic of issuing certificates on the duration of the compulsory internship as well as on the confirmation that it is a compulsory internship. The 25 participants discussed their experiences with the recognition of internship periods and the legal regulations regarding the certification of compulsory internships. With the Internship Day, the FTMV offers a platform for internship offices to exchange information about concerns and difficulties in their daily work. In this way, cross-university solution concepts can be developed or existing solutions from other universities can be adapted. Prof. Moritzer will report the findings of the Intern Day to the delegates at the plenary meeting of the FTMV so that change processes can be initiated and advanced at various levels of university management. The next Intern Day will take place again in Paderborn on 13 May 2020.
