As part of the cooperation between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Paderborn and the Chinese-German Technical Faculty (CDTF) at Qingdao University, Dr Sascha Schiller (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) and Marius Wittke (KTP) held a two-week block course on the basics of plastics processing and process engineering in China at the beginning of September. For two decades, the CDTF cooperation has enabled the exchange of Chinese students to Germany, who complete their advanced studies in Paderborn after their basic studies in China. For its part, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering offers German students the opportunity to spend a semester in Qingdao and learn the Chinese language with the master's degree programme mb-cn.
