Vom 26. Bis 29. Juni fand in Dresden die PPS Europe Africa Conference 2017 statt. Rund 2.000 Kunststoff-Ingenieure aus aller Welt präsentierten ihre Projekte und Neuheiten. Darunter auch Hoda Bayazian, Gilmar Heiderich, Kim Scharr, Jan-Uve Walter und Frauke Reinders von der Kunststofftechnik Paderborn (KTP).
Es wurden technische und unternehmensspezifische Präsentationen aus neuen und aktualisierten Technologien, Diskussionsrunden und Tutorien geboten. Die Wissenschaftler aus Paderborn hielten Fachvorträge zu folgenden Themen:
- Degradation of bimodal distribution polypropylene and polyethylene during the extrusion process (Hoda Bayazian)
- Fiber length reduction during injection molding (Autor: Gilmar Heiderich)
- Investigation of the temperature development within the solid conveying zone of twin-screw extruder based on the discrete element method (DEM) (Autor: Kim Scharr)
- Distinction of measurementrelated and material-related scattering of Young’s modulus of thermoplastics during tensile testing (Autor: Jan-Uve Walter)
- Modelling the stretching of polypropylene films by a nonlinear spring dashpot model (Autor: Frauke Reinders)
