We are pleased to welcome a new research associate to the Chair of Fluid Process Engineering. Nergiz Küçükgacal Sayar studied Chemical Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, where she completed her studies with a master’s thesis entitled “Determination of Desloratadine Using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography with a Central Composite Chemometric Method.” She subsequently obtained a second master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Applied Sciences in Kiel, where she worked on the topic “Development of an Upsampling Algorithm for Wind Turbine Time Series.”
In her future work at our chair, she will focus on improving the design and operational optimization of process engineering systems, particularly Power-to-X processes. To this end, she will combine mathematical optimization methods with data-driven approaches.
