The Chair of Fluid Process Engineering travelled to Enschede (Netherlands) for a two-day retreat. There we visited the company Leering, a manufacturer of pillow plates for industrial applications, and gained an insight into production and sales during an exciting guided tour.
In addition to a city tour, we discussed current research and teaching topics as well as the future direction of the department.
We welcome a new research assistant at the Chair of Fluid Process Engineering. Özgün Alkim Boz studied at Dokuz Eylül University (Turkey), where he completed his studies with a master's thesis on the dynamic effects of a piezoelectric fan on natural convection in a vertical channel. The joint annual meeting of the DECHEMA Energy, Chemistry and Climate Division took place from 12 - 13 March at DECHEMA House in Frankfurt am Main.
