The Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC) participates in the training of engineers in additive manufacturing. The "Specialist Engineer Additive Manufacturing VDI" is a practice-oriented qualification developed by the Association of German Engineers (VDI) and experts from the additive manufacturing industry. It includes seven training modules and concludes with a VDI certificate examination and a recognized certificate. This qualification training course is aimed at getting an overview of the entire process of additive manufacturing: from selecting the component, deciding on the production type and design to implementing additive manufacturing in the company.
