Traditions should be cultivated. This is easier with everyone benefitting. The FERCHAU Advancement Award at the Chair of Design and Drive Engineering (KAt) at Paderborn University was granted by the FERCHAU branch Paderborn for the 17th time this year, thus clearly qualifying for being called a tradition.
In the context of the advancement award, the FERCHAU branch Paderborn honors the motivation of mechanical engineering students at Paderborn University. In preparation for real life, students work on a hands-on design problem which is part of the course “Machine elements – drive components”. Students qualify for participation in the FERCHAU Advancement Award competition through an advanced elaboration regarding technical aspects and a qualitative documentation. This semester, five students were rewarded for their efforts and received prize money. Performance pays off!
