mb-cn is a special version of the Paderborn Master's degree programme in Chemical Engineering:
- Compulsory area
The compulsory area consists of four compulsory modules that must be taken.
- Compulsory technical elective modules
Five compulsory technical elective modules must be taken. The modules "Chinesich" and "Fachkommunikation in China" must be taken as compulsory technical elective modules in the mb-cn programme. The other compulsory elective modules are freely selectable.
- Non-technical module
The non-technical module is defined by "Intercultural Competence".
- Industrial internship
The industrial internship is an engineering internship and serves to acquire practical experience with a predominant reference to chemical engineering.
- Student research project
"mb-cn" students carry out their student research project as part of a semester abroad at our partner university in Qingdao under the supervision of German scientists. At the same time, they give tutorials there for Chinese mechanical engineering students with German language skills: learning by doing!
- Master's thesis
The master's thesis is carried out at least partially at one of our German partner companies in China, optionally in combination with an internship. - "mb-cn" summer school
The summer school lasts four weeks and takes place in Qingdao in September before the start of the programme.
Degree: Master of Science (M.Sc.), supplemented by a Diploma Supplement "mb-cn".
