Welcome to the homepage of the Chair of Fluid Process Engineering at Paderborn University.
On our homepage you will find an overview of our research topics, methods and projects as well as information on our courses.
In our research activities, we focus on the development of resource- and energy-efficient solutions for the transformation of industry, especially the chemical and processing industries. Using theoretical and experimental methods, we develop, investigate and optimise equipment and processes.
In cooperation with national and international partners from academia and industry, we are involved in various research projects with technical solutions and integration concepts in the field of classic fluid process engineering as well as in the field of heat exchangers and heat storage. In addition, we develop operating concepts taking into account future boundary conditions arising from the transformation paths towards a climate-neutral energy and economic system. The central cross-cutting topics of our research are flexibilisation and electrification.
The Chair is a member of the central scientific institutions Competence Centre for Sustainable Energy Technology and Direct Manufacturing Research Center of the Paderborn University.
