Hello everyone,
I am Osman and I am delighted to be starting a new chapter at the DMB as an Academic Advisor!
After studying mechanical engineering at Leibniz Universität Hannover, where I worked for five years as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Institute for Product Development and Device Engineering, my career path led me to the Paderborn University. During my time in Hannover, I was able to gain valuable experience in research and teaching in the field of product development. In June 2024, I received my doctorate with my dissertation "Generative parametric development of technical systems", in which I presented a development environment that automatically designs technical systems and finds areas of optimal solutions through evolutionary algorithms.
My vision is to use artificial intelligence and generative design to create next-generation technical systems and to make the development process accessible to non-specialists. This gives us the opportunity to push the boundaries of traditional engineering thinking and develop innovative, creative solutions that were previously unthinkable.
I am particularly looking forward to working with the students and accompanying the future engineers on their journey. Together, we can not only develop innovative solutions, but also profoundly change the future of mechanical engineering.
