From January 2014 to June 2016, the aiF-IGF-cornet-project „Innojoin“ (IGF-Nr.: 00.108 E) has been performed at the LWF. Within the project, five research institutes from Germany and Belgium worked together with the target of investigating the feasibility of different thermal based joining methods for three chosen material combinations in multi-material-design. Finally, the joint properties of all applicable joining methods were compared in an overall benchmark.
