On July 27, 2017 an excursion to the Volkswagen plant in Wolfsburg took place. Employees and students of the LWF were given the chance to get an insight into the production of the VW Golf and VW Tiguan. As part of the very exciting factory visit, the PMT-F/M department was particularly interesting. The group was especially interested in the lectures on development of joining techniques in the body-in-white production. The day was a great success for all participants.The LWF would like to thank the Volkswagen AG, especially Mr. Borowetz, Dr.-Ing. Schübeler and Mr. Riemann, for the introduction into the corporate structure as well as for the lectures. Special thanks go to Dr.-Ing. Flüggen and Dr.-Ing. Bergau for the organization of the excursion.
