Girls' Day also took place at the LWF on 25 April 2024. We showed schoolgirls how to embed and process a sample to be analysed in a microsection and then examine it under a microscope. The pupils were able to choose the sample themselves and then embed, grind and polish it independently under supervision. The pupils were then allowed to take their own work home with them as a souvenir of Girls' Day in Metallography. A very successful day for everyone involved!
