Together with 300 international guests, the scientific staff of the LWF visited the SCT 2022 in Mailand. With 150 presentations from industry and science, a wide range of topics related to steel and automotive construction was presented. The LWF presented 5 exciting research projects in the field of materials and joining technology.
The core topic of the SCT this year was the reduction of costs and energy consumption while improving crash safety at the same time. Conferences like the SCT enable young scientists to present the results of their work to a broad audience, to get in touch with industry representatives and other scientists and to expand their networks.
