More than 200 participants from industry and research met at the 21st Colloquium "Joint Research in Adhesive Bonding Technology" on March 02 and 03, 2021. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the colloquium could not take place in Würzburg as planned, but was digitally broadcast as a virtual conference for the first time.
The GFKT Colloquium has been the forum for adhesive developers, manufacturers and users for many years. Overview lectures, presentations by adhesive manufacturers and talks on Industrial Joint Research (IGF) projects provide a comprehensive picture of the current status in research and application. The Joint Committee on Adhesive Bonding Technology, consisting of the four AiF research associations DECHEMA, DVS, FOSTA and iVTH, and its cooperation partners have been offering the colloquium for more than 20 years as an opportunity for scientists, developers, manufacturers and users to gain an overview of current research and to enter into discussion with one another. The LWF was prominently represented at the most important event for adhesive bonding research in Germany with six of its own technical presentations and two other participations. In addition to the young scientific researchers, 2 students from the University of Paderborn also got a taste of the research world and were given the opportunity to learn about current research priorities and establish contacts with industrial representatives.
