On 18th June 2018 there was an on-site visit to HDO Druckguß- und Oberflächentechnik GmbH as a part of the literary event "coating technology".
HDO Druckguß- und Oberflächentechnik GmbH is the market leader for the technology alliances of zinc, magnesium and aluminum die casting with decorative surfaces in the field of automotive, sanitary, household appliance and consumer goods industry.
After the introduction into the company the students had the possibility to visit the exhibition room and to ask questions about the exposed products.
Afterwards the students went on a guided tour through the entire manufacturing process of galvanized products made of zinc, aluminum and magnesium.
First they had started with the process of die casting, then went on to the surface treatment and galvanisation and ended with the 100% quality inspection.
The excursion was a success to all participants.
