Project-meeting "Bonding design for agricultural machinery" at Tata Steel Tubes

As part of the IGF research project "Design of adhesive bonding in agricultural machinery construction," the Laboratory for Materials and Joining Technology (LWF) is working with Münster University of Applied Sciences on a design method for adhesive bonds in agricultural machinery and plant construction. This is to enable an analytical SME-based design following the FKM guideline.

On 26 April 2023, the final project meeting of the project-accompanying committee took place at Tata Steel Tubes B.V. in Maastricht in the Netherlands, where Mr. Johannes Göddecke summarised the contents of the entire project and presented the design methodology. This was followed by a tour of the pipe production facility, focusing on manufacturing ultra-high-strength hollow steel sections.
