Hello everyone,
I'm Finn and I'm very happy to be part of the DMB team as a research assistant.
Already during my mechanical engineering studies with a focus on engineering informatics and my work as a research assistant at Paderborn University, I was fascinated by the connection between data management, machine learning and product development.
During the course of my studies, I worked intensively on data-based approaches in technical development through my work at the university and my final theses. The focus was on the analysis and processing of large amounts of data, the application of AI-supported models for process optimisation and the development of simulative tools. These experiences showed me how versatile data-driven methods can be used and strengthened my desire to further develop and promote them in product development.
In my new role as a research assistant, I am looking forward to working on exciting research projects and passing on my knowledge in teaching. Working at the DMB is an ideal opportunity for me to further develop my enthusiasm for data-driven approaches and to help shape the product development of the future.
Best regards
Finn Budde
