„Distillation” series wins the PROSE award

The three-volume series „Distillation“ (Elsevier, 2014) has won the 2015 PROSE award in the Chemistry & Physics category.

Professor Kenig has made an essential contribution to this success. He wrote the chapter “Modeling of Distillation Processes” in the first volume “Distillation: Fundamentals and Principles” in collaboration with Dr. Sergej Blagov, BASF.

The award is considered to be the “Oscar” of professional literature and is the highest distinction a scholarly book can receive worldwide. The best professional and scholarly books of different disciplines are distinguished annually with the PROSE award. The prize is being awarded by the “Professional and Scholary Publishing Division” of the Association of American Publishers since 1976.

This project was established by Professor Andrzej Górak from the TU Dortmund; further editors are: Professor Eva Sorensen, University College London, Professor Žarko Olujić, Delft University of Technology, and Dr. Hartmut Schoenmakers, form. BASF.
