The Chair of fluid process engineering invited interested students to participate in a one-day trip to a refinery of BP in Lingen. Our host produces mineral oil products like jet fuel, diesel fuel, gasoline and LPG. The participants gained an insight to the company and had the opportunity to visit industrial plants. We are grateful to BP Lingen for the opportunity and the kind service.

Jean-Yves Baquet is a student from Gramme Institute in Liège, Belgium. In the frame of an Erasmus traineeship he will support our chair by the experimental investigation of condensation in fin and tube heat exchangers. We wish him a pleasant stay in Germany and good luck for his Masterthesis.

At the end of October our chair hosted the two-day internal final meeting of the EU project CAPSOL, which started in November 2011 with twelve partners in six countries. In September, Steve Flechsig has joined our team.
