Since September 2016, Tatiana Popova works as a visiting scientist at our chair. She studied at the Gubkin-University of Oil and Gas in Moskau, Russia in the field of design, installation and operation of pipe transport systems. Our Chair congratulates Ömer Yildirim who successfully awarded his doctorate on August 22th, 2016. The title of his dissertation is “Theoretical and experimental investigation of fluiddynamics and transport processes in sandwich packings”. On the 5th of August 2016 our annual Chair excursion took place. This time we went canoeing on the Weser. We started our tour after being instructed into canoeing, from Holzminden downriver to Bodenwerder. After the first half of the tour we took a rest in the beautiful village Polle.
