Since January 1st, a new research assistant has joined our team. Alexander Salten completed his master's thesis entitled "Experimental measurements and CFD - bromination - simulation of methane" at the TU Dortmund.

Marco Vocciante was born in 1987. He got his Master of Art on Chemical Engineering at University of Naples “Federico II” (Italy) in July of 2012 (with an experimental research thesis on the complex dynamics of particles in Viscoelastic fluids). From 27th to 29th of April, an interesting international congress on process engineering named CAPE Forum 2015 took place in Paderborn. CAPE Forum is a series of congresses under the auspices of the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE). Vom 12. bis zum 15. März 2015 unternahm unser Lehrstuhl einen Ausflug nach Rom.
Am ersten Tag begaben wir uns nach erfolgter Ankunft und einer Stärkung im Restaurant in den nördlichen Teil von Rom, wo wir die Spanische Treppe und den Piazza del Popolo besichtigten. Anschließend konnten wir vom Pincio aus einen wunderschönen Blick über ganz Rom und auf den Vatikan genießen.

The Chair of fluid process engineering invited interested students to participate in a one-day trip to a refinery of BP in Lingen. Our host produces mineral oil products like jet fuel, diesel fuel, gasoline and LPG. The participants gained an insight to the company and had the opportunity to visit industrial plants. We are grateful to BP Lingen for the opportunity and the kind service.
Jean-Yves Baquet is a student from Gramme Institute in Liège, Belgium. In the frame of an Erasmus traineeship he will support our chair by the experimental investigation of condensation in fin and tube heat exchangers. We wish him a pleasant stay in Germany and good luck for his Masterthesis.
