Last monday, the chair of Fluid Process Engineering together with about 30 students was on a field trip to visit Evonik AG in the chemical park in Marl. Beside insights into the work routine of a process engineer, we got a guided tour through the technical labs, did a round trip through in the chemcial park and finally visited the acrylic acid plant, which is the largest production plant in the park. Many thanks to Mrs Lührmann of Evonik AG for…

Since the midst of July Nils Mügge works as a research assistant in our group. Nils graduated with as masters from FH Bielefeld and wrote his thesis with the title "Method development for the numeric multi flow simulation in dish washers" at Miele & Cie. KG in Gütersloh. His scientific work will focus on heat transfer in Isobaric Expansion Engines (IEE). We wish him all the best for his start in Paderborn!
The chair of Fluid Process Engineering welcomes a new member of the scientific staff. Mike Bothe studied Chemical Engineering at TU Dortmund University and graduated with a master thesis entitled "Theoretische Betrachtung des laminaren Strahlzerfalls am Rotationszerstäuber". We wish him a successful start in Paderborn.
