Philipp Schwartz Fellow Dr. Olga Arsenyeva has started her work at the department

Since August 2023 our chair hosts the Ukrainian researcher, Dr. Olga Arsenyeva as a scholarship holder of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation granted to researchers at risk.

Dr. Arsenyeva finished her PhD in the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU “KhPI”), Ukraine, in 2005. Received DSc in optimal design of compact heat exchangers with enhanced heat transfer, NTU “KhPI”, in 2014. Until February 2022 she worked as a professor at the O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She fulfils the research in the field of chemical and thermal process engineering, having the areas of interests in enhanced heat and mass transfer in channels of complex geometry, plate heat exchanger design, fouling processes and their mitigation in heat exchange equipment, optimisation of heat exchangers networks, energy saving, utilisation of waste heat from industrial processes.

Her research in Paderborn University is focused on the investigation of heat and mass transfer during condensation in the Pillow-Plate Heat Exchangers and their application for industrial processes.
