Annual meeting of the ProcessNet thematic groups „Extraction“ and „Fluid Process Engineering“

Prof. Kenig, Nicole Hüser, Julian Tran and Murat Yazgi attended the annual meeting of the ProcessNet groups “Extraction” and “Fluid Process Engineering” held in Fulda from March 27th to 29th,2014.
A plenary lecture on “A unified definition and determination of characteristic geometrical parameters for the design of finned-tube and pillow-plate heat exchangers”, was given by our partners in the InnovA2 project. Two oral presentation were held in the thematic group “Fluid Process Engineering”, one by Julian Tran “Experimental investigation on the condensation behavior of pillow-plate heat exchangers in lab- and pilot-plant-scale” and one by Murat Yazgi “Hydrodynamic-Analogy based modelling  of reactive absorption processes”. Furthermore two posters were shown, describing the work done by Nicole Hüser “Conceptual design and validation of a new pilot-plant for the absorption and desorption of CO2” and Mark Piper “Numerical analysis of the fluid dynamics and heat transfer of the single phase turbulent flow in pillow-plates”.
