As a chair of the University of Paderborn, we are part of DMRC Academic within the Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC) and actively contribute to shaping its scientific research activities. Within DMRC Academic, the participating chairs have joined forces to form the academic counterpart to the Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC) e.V., which is supported by a strong industrial consortium.
In this structure, we conduct research and development on behalf of the DMRC, contributing our expertise to joint projects with industry partners. The close integration of academic research and industrial application enables the efficient development of innovative approaches in additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies, and their transfer into practice.
