For the open day at the University of Paderborn the Chair of Automitive Lightweight Construction presented itself to the general public. There were several visits to laboratories in which different experimental facilities of the Department could be watched in action. A highlight was the component crash test facility in which experiments with components such as crash boxes for automobiles can be made with high speed. In this context, the current model of the Formula Student racing car was also demonstrated.
