HerKoLas: Energy-efficient manufacturing and mechanism-based characterization of the corrosion fatigue behaviour of laser-structured hybrid composites

Over­view

The aim of the research project is the energy-efficient production of CFRP/Al 6082-hybrid components, in which the two components are formed and joined together in a single step. For this purpose, a parameter study was to be carried out beforehand using plate-shaped hybrid samples in order to investigate the adhesion and corrosion properties and to be able to determine the best parameter sets for laser pre-treatment and the curing process. The resulting parameter set should then be transferred to the production of real component-like geometry, e.g. hat profile, and the produced hat profile should then be analysed for its dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties, corrosion and fatigue properties.
