Complex disperse systems

Complex disperse systems are mixtures of at least three different materials, that occur as solid, liquid or gaseous phases. These disperse systems are used in very different products of everyday life. Because of the different properties of each phase the characterization of disperse systems is difficult. If the size of particles, droplets or bubbles is at the nanoscale, the description of the system is even more difficult as interface properties between continuous and disperse phase become more important.

The Particle Technology Group works with different complex disperse systems in different research projects, both basic research and industrial research.
