Conferral of Doctorate Malte Strop

On February 27, 2018 Malte Strop successfully completed his doctoral studies on "Design of an intelligent operation strategy for multi-motor drive systems and their application in internal natural rubber mixers". Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dr. h.c. Kay Hameyer, head of the Institute of Electrical Machines at the RWTH Aachen, was his co-advisor. Since December 2013, Malte Strop had been supporting the research team at the KAt. In addition to being engaged in his research and teaching activities, Mr. Strop was also an active member of the study advisory council as well as the examination board of mechanical engineering.

Starting in May 2018, he will be working on developing electromechanical drive systems at Siemens in Tübingen. We wish him success in his new position and look forward to a good cooperation.
