In the polymer laser sintering process, the application of the fresh powder layer is of fundamental importance. If errors occur during this process, this can lead to job failures or influence the part quality.
In order to investigate this field in more detail and to be able to establish correlations between the coating quality and the component properties, a coating monitoring system is being developed at PVT.
Defects and imperfect coatings are detected by image recognition software. For the implementation and training of this software, the software: "SuperAnnotate" is used, which allows a fast and easy learning via integrated workflows. We are pleased to have the support of SuperAnnotate.
