Conferral of Doctorate Lars Blumenthal

We congratulate Lars Blumenthal to the successful completion of his doctoral studies. In his work "Multidomain-based optimization of axial-dynamic switching performance of spring-applied brakes", Lars Blumenthal researched the multidomain-simulation of spring-applied brakes, using an azimut brake in wind energy plants taking electrical, magnetic, mechanical, thermal as well as tribological systems into consideration. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gunter Kullmer, head of the Chair of Applied Mechanics, was the co-advisor.

We wish him all the best for his professional and personal future and thank him for his active support at the Chair of Design and Drive Technology where he wa scientific staff member from Mai 2016 to April 2022.
