In a festive setting, students of Paderborn University have recently been granted the FERCHAU Advancement Award. Detlef Palm, branch manager of FERCHAU GmbH Paderborn and Charlotte Haertel, account manager IT also at FERCHAU's location in Paderborn, honored Oliver Kruse (1st place) and Tobias Leifer, Gianluca Wetz and Tim Steffens (2nd place).

Emphasizing and rewarding exceptional achievements – true to this motto, the FERCHAU GmbH, in close cooperation with the Chair of Design and Drive Technology (KAt) at Paderborn University, has been granting the FERCHAU Advancement Award since 2005. Mechanical engineering students in their fourth semester of the basic study program are eligible to apply. This year, the applicants were asked to develop a cordless screwdriver and thoroughly document the design.
