As of mid-August 2022, Prof. Dr. Iryna Mozgova has taken over as head of the Department of Data Management in Mechanical Engineering (formerly Computer Application and Integration in Design and Planning). She moved from Leibniz Universität Hannover to the University of Paderborn.
A native of Ukraine, she studied applied mathematics, earned her doctorate in "Automated Control Systems and Progressive Information Technologies" at the National University of Aviation in Kiev, and has been researching and teaching in Hannover since 2009.
With a view to providing the best possible training for mechanical engineers in her new position here at the University of Paderborn, she would like to combine fundamental disciplines such as those of descriptive geometry, product data management, quality management methods and standard programming languages with current topics such as sustainability management, test and field data analysis and the organization of research data.
