Machine tool technology (exercise)

Aim of the event:

As part of supplementary exercises, participants will learn the basics of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and develop plans for controlling machines and systems.
In addition, participants will gain a basic understanding of machine acceptance in accordance with a VDI guideline as part of a practical exercise on press analysis. The exercises are designed to complement the lecture and are part of the examination.

The contents of the exercise Forming Technology 1 are an integral part of the examination for the lecture Fundamentals of the Design of Tools and Machine Tools.

Target group:

Students of the lecture Fundamentals of the Design of Tools and Machine Tools and Machine Tool Technology.

Contents:

Fundamentals of fluid technology
Circuit symbols for pneumatics and hydraulics
Structure of a circuit diagram
Checking the circuit diagram on the model
As part of the exercise, students are required to independently create a circuit diagram for a system that fulfils the desired requirements.
Press analysis in accordance with VDI guideline 3193.
