Innovation Laboratory for Production Engineering (project seminar)

Aim of the event:

Students are able to analyse, process and solve practical problems in the field of production technology. Furthermore, students have learned to work together in an interdisciplinary team, to organise themselves independently and to implement the solutions they have developed. Competences were acquired in particular in the field of carrying out experiments and subsequent metrological evaluation. Students are also able to present the solutions and results they have developed.

Students of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and teaching degree programmes.

Contents:

In this course, students work on practical production engineering tasks in small groups. These are in the field of innovative manufacturing technologies, for example in the field of hybrid materials, incremental forming processes or optimisation. Appropriate methods are used to develop, analyse and evaluate solutions. A laboratory environment with extensive measurement and production technology is available for carrying out and analysing numerous test series. The most promising solution is then implemented and the results presented, including at the specified milestones.
