Machining (exercise)

Lecturer: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Werner Homberg

Type of event: Exercise

Organisation unit: Mechanical engineering

Display in timetable: SF (Ü)

Language of instruction: German

Min. | Max. Number of participants: - | -

Prerequisites and recommendations:
Machining production
Fundamentals of production engineering

Course objective:
A basic understanding of machining manufacturing processes, in particular the relationship between process parameters of different manufacturing processes and the surface quality of correspondingly manufactured components.

Target group:
Students of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and teaching degree programmes.

Content:
A basic understanding of machining production processes, such as turning processes, is to be strengthened in the participants through appropriately orientated experiments. The course is designed to complement the lecture.

- Influence of process parameters
- Production of different types of chips
- Surface testing of components
- Achievable surface qualities
