Requirements and recommendations:
Grundlagen der Gestaltung von Werkzeugen und Werkzeugmaschinen
Umformtechnik 1
Spanende Fertigung
Aim of the event:
Students acquire basic skills in the design and interpretation of tools, also with the help of CAD tools. They are also able to use methods from the field of FEM for the design of tools. With regard to the production of forming tools, knowledge in the area of CAM is acquired so that simple CNC milling programs can be derived. In-depth skills are acquired in the area of measuring tools and workpieces. Accordingly, the students are able to design and design forming tools for simple sheet metal components, to support their production and to check and characterize them with regard to their usability.
Target group:
Master's students who want to gain hands-on experience making tools and molds.
Contents:
- Introduction to machine tools
- Tool design and layout with CAD
- Method planning: FEM for tool design
- CAM in tool production
- Production measurement technology for measuring tools and workpieces
