Vacancies
The Chair of Forming and Machining Technology is constantly looking for committed and performance-orientated employees to work in small, interdisciplinary teams of highly motivated scientists on a variety of interesting and challenging projects in knowledge-based basic research and practice-oriented research and development. The main areas of research and work include incremental sheet metal and tube forming, the production of components from hybrid material systems, profile forming (hydroforming process) and FE simulation of forming processes. We welcome unsolicited applications as research assistants for short or medium-term entry into projects in these areas. The scientific positions also offer excellent opportunities for - expressly desired - doctoral studies.
Tasks
Scientific tasks include the research and development of processes, including tools and machine tools. The spectrum here ranges, for example, from the development of suitable measurement technology to the implementation of experimental set-ups, the realisation of corresponding control systems and the planning and execution of experimental investigations, right through to the processing of theoretical correlations.
Requirements
We are looking for graduate engineers from the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and related fields or people with comparable qualifications who - in addition to above-average specialist knowledge and the ability to work in a team - are able to work independently, enjoy experimental work, creativity and a wealth of ideas. Furthermore, applicants are expected to be committed to publicly funded research projects and industrial projects and to feel comfortable in a performance-orientated research environment. Please send complete applications to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Werner Homberg.
