Prerequisites / recommendations:
Forming technology 2 (lecture)
Materials science
Fundamentals of production technology
Forming technology 1
Target group:
Supplementary practice-orientated exercise to the lecture. Consolidation of knowledge for forming processes based on active media.
Content:
As part of the exercise, the information on hydroforming known from the lecture is applied in appropriately designed experiments. By systematically varying the parameters of the component and the process, a component optimised for production is to be created. A deeper understanding of the forming process with moulding media is to be conveyed through local investigations of the manufactured components. The exercise is complementary to the lecture and is part of the examination for the lecture Forming Technology 2.
-Theoretical understanding of the hydroforming process
-Experimental implementation of the hydroforming process
-Examination of the manufactured components
-Discussion of the measurement results
-Visualisation of the process and calculation steps
-Discussion of the results
Literature:
An annotated literature list can be found in the lecture notes.
Supplementary events:
Design of tools and machine tools
Innovative processes in production engineering
Important notes: Exercise dates will be announced in the lecture Machining Manufacturing.
