Production Engineering (exercise)
Lecturer: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Werner Homberg
Type of event: Exercise
Organisation unit: Mechanical Engineering
Display in timetable: Prod.Eng. (Ex)
Language of instruction: German
Min. | Max. Number of participants: - | -
Course objective:
The exercises supplemented and consolidated the knowledge learnt in the lectures. In particular, knowledge in the field of deep drawing, machining and lightweight construction was deepened.
Target group:
Students of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering and teaching degree programmes.
Content:
The supplementary exercises deepen the knowledge learnt from the associated lecture and apply it in practice. In particular, fields of application for the fundamentals of plasticity theory are demonstrated and further knowledge of sheet metal forming processes is imparted in practical exercises on deep drawing. Participants are also familiarised with experimental methods, test planning and data acquisition. Machining will also be covered. The exercise focuses in particular on:
- Theoretical principles of plasticity and stress states
- Lightweight construction
- Determining mechanical characteristics
- Deep drawing processes
- Machining
