Content:

These supplementary exercises consolidate the knowledge gained from the corresponding lecture and apply it in a practical context. In particular, they highlight areas of application for the fundamentals of plasticity theory and, through practical exercises in deep drawing, provide further knowledge of sheet metal forming processes. Participants are also familiarised with experimental methods, as well as experimental design and data acquisition. Machining is also covered. The main focus of the practical sessions is, in particular:

- Theoretical foundations of plasticity and stress states
- Lightweight construction
- Determination of mechanical properties
- Deep-drawing processes
- Machining
