Successful completion of the project “Technology development for energy-efficient container construction”

This project demonstrated that the innovative friction forming process is also suitable as an energy- and resource-efficient manufacturing method for pressure vessel construction. Aluminum and steel tube ends were friction-formed into contours typical of pressure vessels and gas cylinders. This reduces the energy required for the gas cylinder manufacturing process by up to 95% compared to conventional processes that use fossil fuels (gas).
