LUF sets the tone at ESAFORM 2025 in Paestum

Salute – this was how the 28th International ESAFORM Conference welcomed its expert audience to the Hotel Ariston in Paestum (Italy) from May 6 to 9, 2025. The conference was organized by the University of Salerno and the University of Calabria.

The Chair of Forming Technology (LUF) was represented by scientists Steffen Gabsa, Ermir Cakici, and Bahman Arian, who contributed three technical papers to the discussion. They presented the latest findings from their respective research projects:

The conference took place in the immediate vicinity of the famous Doric temples of Paestum—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved Greek archaeological sites in Italy—providing a unique historical backdrop for professional exchange and networking.

The LUF scientists returned to the campus in Paderborn with new contacts, fresh ideas, and the motivation to incorporate the inspiration they gained into future research and teaching activities.
