Due to the fact that the conference could only take place digitally for two years, all participants were pleased to be able to meet again in Denver, CO, in person and to exchange information about new developments in plastics research. The focus of many contributions this year was on bio-based and biodegradable polymers, as well as additive manufacturing and recycling.
Jonas Petzke presented his poster on microwave vulcanization of rubber extrudates. Laura Austermeier gave a presentation on a new approach to locally predict the energy input in twin screw extruders.
